Why groom a cat?
Grooming a cat is not just for aesthetic reasons:- For the health of its coat;
- For the health of the cats skin;
- For his well-being;
- To avoid or reduce your inconveniences due to allergic reactions to the cat.
Indoor cats lose their fur almost year round. However, spring and fall are times where molting of their fur is more abundant. Brushing or trimming cat hair allows to get rid of dead hair, prevent matting (uncomfortable) and lets the skin breathe.
If there is an accumulation of hair balls in the digestive system, this irritant causes regurgitations, or even in some cases, a severe intestinal obstruction.
